| Handling | Draw a 2 hour blood glucose sample two hours following a meal. The patient should be fastinf prior to the meal. Some physicians may order glucose load in lieu of meal. Screen fasting blood using the Accu-Chek(see GTT for instructions) Administer 75 GMS of glucose solution. Draw sample 2 hours post. 0.5ML Minimum Serum or Plasma required. |
